Bean and Pork Mince Stir-fry

Ingredients

  • 100g pork mince

  • 200g snake beans (or french beans), cut into 1-inch batons)

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 1 small shallot, chopped

For the sauce:

  • 1.5 Tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tsp light soy sauce

  • pinch of sugar and ground white pepper

  • a dash of cooking wine (optional)

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1 tsp cornstarch or tapioca starch to thicken gravy

  • sesame oil (optional)

Method

  • Heat pan or wok with oil on medium-high heat.

  • Add in the chopped garlic and shallot.

  • Add in the mince and stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  • Add the beans, soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, sugar and cooking wine (if using).

  • Mix well and add the water.

  • Cover the pan and let cook for a few minutes.

  • Slowly add cornstarch or tapioca flour to thicken the gravy.

  • Add a dash of sesame oil (optional).

  • Serve with freshly cooked rice.
